Invaders notice the Pistons and Clippers don't play in next match period therefore the games both teams play Thursday are an early call-I'll go w/Kaman/Maggette/West/Williams/B.Gordon and Ellis
Hey Mark. Can you stop referring to Deron Williams as "Williams?" I always have to stop and try to figure out who you're talking about, running through a mental list that includes the NPR reporter Juan Williams and the suave crooner Andy Williams, who was once married to the murderer Claudine Longet.
Invaders will call him "Moon River" if you like in deference to Andy Williams' biggest easy listening hit.Juan Williams move to Fox as the "left" side of the argument leaves me a bit cold to him.Happy New Year to you as well and everyone else...
Gallinari is a small. Landry is a center. Fry is a center. I believe we already have Amare as a power.
Dave: Multiple position designations isn't some new, technologically advanced development, just as using all games in a weekly scoring formula, subtracting for turnovers, giving credit for three-pointers and shooting percentages, separate divisions, open waiver wires, making trades and scratching our nutsacks aren't new.
Don't worry E. I'm not asking you to stop writing checks at the grocery store. Just consider using your debit card on occasion. Just when I thought this league had a future.......... In the mean time I'm off to gather my magic beans for the cover charge into this mystical garden.
Eric-You're totally wrong on Landry. There's absolutely no way on earth Landry is a C-He has to be either a 3 or 4-The centers on Houston are Hayes and Anderson and if they play w/out those 2 then it's Scola since they dumped Pops Mensah-Bonsu and stopped playing Brian Cook.-Have you seen how small Landry is?Hayes is shorter but much bulkier.Gallinari can be a 3 but Landry can't be a 5.
Landry is a 4 in Invaders ESPN league-Gallinari a 3-4,Frye a 4-5-I don't expect a change to Moon River Williams(what's Landry in Yahoo?) hoped for multi- positional utopia this year but I can't let you call a guy a 5 that no other service/writer pundit/etc,, has ever suggested that he is.
Like many of our young people today, you guys have effectively lost your ability to think clearly due to your overreliance on technology. Chuck Hayes, who is substantially smaller than Carl Landry, combines with the Aussie Anderson to play about 25 minutes per game. Meanwhile, Landry, along with Scola (PF) and Battier (SF), averages over 30. He is essentially their main center. I don't care what espn.com or yahoo.nutsack says, this league makes position designations based on what a player does for a given team in a given season. The fact is, Houston doesn't really have a center, but for our purposes, someone must be identified as occupying that role. My vote says Landry is a center. If you guys want to geek out and put him somewhere else, whatever.
Eric-It's ridiculous-he's a 4 that now due to McGrady absence and Battier move to 2 plays 3 and 4.I intend to take him if Shittslinger doesn't as a 4 and we'll put it to a vote...Is it because you saw one game against Blazers as a 5 for few minutes(Hayes and Anderson ineffective or in foul trouble?did he ever guard Oden or Pryzbilla??)-do you have the package and watch the games?Box score minutes are one thing watching them actually play is another-I've never disagreed w/you so completely on a player until now.I'd prefer him to be a 3 for my purposes but he is obvious 4 w/out argument!
Eric-I just looked up Rocket team minutes-you're way off-After 33 games,Hayes 21.7+Anderson 14.7=36.4 minutes which levaes all of 11.6 minutes for Scola/Landry et.all to play 5-Sorry my brother but your wrong on this one....
Eric- What is your problem with multiple position designation??? I realize that this is "not how this league does it". Do you realize that this league has 4 active teams. Why aren't you interested in improvement. Are you going to dig up some other "old friends" to keep this league alive next year? or are you going to evolve. I'm not asking you to get on board with modern technology...rather to just make some sensible choices. How is this a bad thing? It's starting to feel more like an E thing. Are you more interested in what makes you happy or what makes the league happy? This (as par for the coarse) is feeling very (E) self serving. Just give me a good arguement against and I'm fine. Note: I'm not asking for changes this year, rather consideration for the future. If there is one.

Eric's inaccurate lineup I posted in my pasting of lineups owners failed to post. Eric has discontinued updating his lineups on a regular basis, even though he changes them. It's easier to paste the three non-participants and the Germans, who are heard from once a month.

Invaders did Landry post-Since he'll go high in Sunday's draft we'd better settle on his position.
