E Team says:

So, Mister I-need-more-action Stacy Ruff, who is required to sub for an injured player only twice all season, fails to do so for the second time and goes five-man in his biggest match of the year.

Impressive.

Stop the freakin' presses.

Talk about people who can't follow a script. The XMan, who's like that Chinese brother you put in the oven and he doesn't die, withstands Nash's 24 and defeats the P4s by 180-179 in Match 38. Yes, this is the same guy whose Westbrook outpointed Durant 50 to 46 for a three-point win over the Germans in Match 33.

That's right. Put the Coors Light on hold.

But that's not all. The NiteCreams, by being slightly less unspectacular than the E Team, are now 28 Bosh fp's away from a win over that squad in Match 39, a victory that would clinch second place and homecourt for Dave's unbelievably resilient unit.

Wait. There's more. The Germans, off to a solid start against the five-man Shooters, may well maintain their one-game lead over the 'Caps with one to play, assuming both teams win.

But take a look at Match 40, where the P4s must deal with the dangerous Invaders, while Dave takes on the lifeless McCarthyists, who have not put six men on the floor since Match 29.

The points tiebreaker you ask? The Germans entered Match 39 with the lead. BY SIX POINTS.

Unbelievable.

Meanwhile, the E Team and Shooters, two teams that absolutely dominated down the stretch, winning 8 of the last 9 MHS's, simply have not been able to crack the Top Two. It's entirely possible, if not likely, that both will get the wrong end of the double jeopardy format.

If both lose in Match 39, the DBS will be one game out of third place, but with the 'Slinger on tap for Match 40 while the E Team meets Ticket, Stacy's biggest booster.

Oh, and the points tiebreaker, which will also mean the scoring title?

The E Team entered Match 39 with the lead over the Shooters. BY FIVE POINTS.

Wow.

Ticket wants to know what the big deal is about the protest for a more accurate scorekeeper?

For four months Ticket spits at the mirror for choosing TP over Derrick Rose, who disappears in time for the playoffs. Stacy was so smug picking Rose right after I chose TP, who's equally disabled when it counts most.

I'm less dejected now about losing my status as last active champ, only multi-champ, and if E-Team gets to the finals, the only three-time loser in finals history.

Turn your clocks a(knuckle)head.

I'm rooting for P4 to become the next three-time loser in finals history, the Germans having lost to reigning champ And One and Big Panty.

The Nitecaps have defeated the E Team by 203-189, clinching homecourt in the playoffs.

The Germans will send Nash and 38 fp's against Amare for the win over the Shooters, although it is now official, the regular season crown will be decided in the 40th and final match of the season, as will the scoring title.

Ticket, bidding to become the first team currently in the lower division to win MHS money since the 'Slinger in Match 16, defeats the four-man Macs by 238-116, riding a 62 from Scola.

The Invaders, who get the No. 2 seed in the NIT behind Ticket, beat the 'Slinger by 180-129.

Plus Vier:
Nash was both an early and late call or just a late call on Friday. I thought his totals for Friday's game went for both match 38&39 though I'm okay with either, preferably the latter.

So if p4 loses and Nitecreamer wins in Match 40, does the 1 seed go down to total points? Or has it been decided already?

Enquiring minds......

Nash will get his Match 39 number from today's game against the Hornets.

Please see new post regarding the seeding question.
