Does the recent passing of three-peter A's Tony Phillips and Dave Henderson point to fatal results from roids? Was anyone as effctive as Phillips playing many positions for defensive reasons?

Tom the 3 peat was in the 7o's Reggie/Vida/Sal/Catfish/Campy/Rudi(who had that ranch near Baker in eastern Oregon)Hendu and Phillips were on the earthquake champions of the late 80's who only won 1 title in 3 tries-Henderson was deeply troubled and had many issues as did Tony who was very short and very fast.I saw Phillips at a game I was at in Oskland make an unassisted double play where he ran across the field and got 2 guys in rundowns never throwing the ball.He was playing 3rd made a diving stop on the fringe of the outfield grass then got up and got one guy coming from 2nd then seeing no one covering first base he ran across the middle of the infield to tag the batter between 1st and 2nd with a diving tag that looked like a Safety making a shoestring tackle to save a td.I've never seen a play like it in over half a century of watching baseball. The stop to prevent a double alone was as good as any I saw Brooks Robinson or Craig Nettles ever make in a world series let alone the 2 rundowns.I will always have respect for the effort of Phillips defensively.
roids may have been part of the Henderson problem but he supposedly according to reports went into a drink and drug spiral following the suicide in 1989 of Donnie Moore who he took deep for Boston in the '86 AL playoff. He recovered enough to keep playing and later be a Mariners tv announcer for a while as I recall but always had issues.Phillips had been accused of domestic violence and was supposedly a drinker.
Domestic violence is all that diminishes Tony Phillips from the status of "all time super sub"? He makes a play that clearly outshines Jeter's most memorable to beat the A's in the playoffs backing up home.

Closest thing to Phillips? Manny Trillo, who Charlie O. tried but failed to replace butter fingeref and supposedly disabled Mike Andrews in the '74 Series, would also win his third and final Gold Glove Award in 1983.[1] He would spend the next six seasons with several teams, serving as a utility player before ending his career in 1989 with the Cincinnati Reds.[1]
