How does KonTroL win five straight to stay atop the standings despite the league's sixth-best scoring average? Defense, defense, defense. Opponents are putting up a paltry 185.9 against the Machine, a full 15 FPG lower than against, say, the defending champion Nitecaps.
The XMan hangs in nonetheless, winning two straight and climbing over 190 FPG.
Mark's Invaders look like the team to beat in the second quarter of the season, atop the human standings and scoring at a 203.8 clip.
Once again, look at the balanced scoring - all teams over 190 FPG except Ticket, which has improving to 180.0 - and money distribution. Remarkable. How is any team gonna break out of the pack with that kind of parity?
