Let's see, should I let Thornton ruin my chances for a third straight match, or have DRose do the honors?
Heck, let's let both of them have a shot. (BTW, I was thinking Turkoglu, but too late, Orlando was an early call for this match. Thanks for the heads up, people.)

DRose,Pau,Bosh,JoeJohn,MThorn,Nash

Invaders assumed there wouldn't be any early calls w/the new compacted schedule but logically I now believe that for every 3 consecutive night stretch that each team must play(at least 1-2 for each of the 30 teams)there should be a corresponding 3 night rest-so we have Howard and Anderson participating in early calls this evening-Howard broke Wilt's 50 year old record of 34 frree throws in a game hoisting 39 against my Warrirors-it was reminiscent of hack a Shaq but was more like Gulliver w/the lilliputian Warriors

Big trouble in little china - the Wingos starting 5 (D. Howard) does not play a game in the Match 6 period. I would be happy to take his 77 point Friday score, or his first score after (on Monday) using the second game for Match 7. If I need someone else up, I select R. Gay, unless I need to cover the 5 and Scola is ineligible (can't check on this computer).

So - my roster preferences (in order) are:
Dwight Friday
Dwight Monday
Add Rudy Gay
Add DeJuan Blair

the main point being that I don't want a DNP...

Please advise this FNG...

Invaders say Howard's 77 stands even though no one announced as early call-Wingos-you got your lineup in before he played last night-ultimately it has to be the individual's responsibility to see the upcoming schedule-you should anyway to gauge each player's matchup-traditionally Tom has called out the early/late calls

Sorry. I'll crack books. Wingo gets 77. Melo out for NY? BaDLucK. If it's any consolation Bargnani didn't start 4 me.

Invaders: re: early call Howard "Invaders say Howard's 77 stands even though no one announced as early call-Wingos-you got your lineup in before he played last night-ultimately it has to be the individual's responsibility to see the upcoming schedule" - So it's Ok now, but the other night I got my lineup in before anyone had actually gone and my M. Gasol was refused???

We've had this before with the missed early/late call, maybe Eric can refresh the memories and the decision that was "handed down"...hmmmmm?

Cowabunga! You've got the ruling right, Mark. An early call is an early call whether people know about it or not. Wingo wakes up to find a 77 from DHow under the tree!

The biggest number we've ever seen in this league came from Chris Webber about 12 years ago. The Fab Fiver put up an 80-plus as Ryan Collins' JRBs posted a 283 or so.

More recently, Kobe went for, like, 70 in a game but his fantasy number was still sub-80, as I recall. Tom might have a better recollection of it.

As far this grousing about getting in a lineup before any player in it has gone, the deadline is the deadline. If somebody has some sort of extenuating circumstance and can persuade a match opponent to sign off on a late move, fine, otherwise the 4 PM rule stands.

Another DNP for Thornton for me after the Sacramento Bee reported that the guy had participated in a full workout yesterday.

Excellent. I'm lovin' life. Happy MLK weekend, people. I will drink to the Doctor's memory this weekend.

Thank God almighty, I'm free at last.
