Invaders posted match 7 heading-I have slightly different number for our game Tom 118-78 (Love-39...Gay-26...Klay-27...LaMarcus 26)Dave was wrongly credited w/a loss he should be 4-1 in standings
Hey, my bad on the corrupted standings. Didn't mean to deprive the X-Man of his rightful place in the order of things. I also hadn't updated winning percentages. Everything should be jake now.
Tix says I got Sockeye and Invaders in a tie for match high unless KD rolls out 55. If that stands, the third match hi in a row for the hard working Art. Invaders 198-115 Tix and Westbrook P4 182-125 Swat and Ibaka Sockeye 198-145 E-Team and KD Wingo 186-160. Cap Today is the day, 4 pm draft 15th player and drop a maximum of 2 guys. That means 3 new guys on youur squad if need be.
Tix correction P4 182-162 Swat and Ibaka. Curry gives Swat a second chance under the second chance rule. I doubt Swat argues for the condition that both teams in a match that suffer a DNP must have a second chance, even if it means counting a guy's stats from a later match.
Yeah, let's take a second to clarify that again...and if the overlords would please correct me if I'm wrong on the second part, I would appreciate it.
If one of your players gives you a DNP in the first game of the match period, but plays in his next game, you will get that score.
However, if his next scheduled game isn't until the next match period you are SOL.
example A: James Harden came up lame for Saturday nights game and is not scheduled to play again until Monday. That equals no second chance opportunity.
Tix says Well said. I am, in other angles that require a close look, waiting for an advantage ill gotten regarding early calls. Say Pau for P4 had an off nite before the lineups were due in our match 5, I would strike down a replacement for Pau after his early call results. This is the hole in the plan that aims for fair play.
Tom, can you please explain what that means? And then you actually encourage a league member to challenge the existing rule by conjuring possible objections? If you think there's a flaw in a standing rule, why don't you just recommend that we review it instead of posing confusing hypotheticals? Did we not spend enough time on the second chance rule last season?
Dave's post explained the second chance rule correctly. No third chance. No guaranteed second chance. Nothing outside the match period. Period.
And nice work on getting the supplemental info out, Tom. Wrong start time and wrong parameters. Supplementals have always started at 5 PM for the benefit of the football dorks, and what, we were going to add two and increase our roster size to 16?
Hello. Let's just stick to the scorekeeping, shall we? That should be enough of a challenge. You're not the newly appointed commissioner.
Hey, right after ragging on Tom's administrative skills, and in trying to put together a lineup for Match 7, I just realized I played with an invalid lineup in Match 6.
I guess I was thinking Kemba was a 1/2 and I could play him along with Teague, but ESPN has him as a straight point this season. In other words, I didn't have a 2 in my lineup.
Oops.
As it happens, it did not affect the outcome of the match. The question is, what do we do with my point total? Do I get assigned the highest-drafted PG (Kemba) and the highest-drafted healthy SG (Oladipo) on my roster? Or do I have to take a zero for Teague, who is logically the improper player in my lineup. I obviously favor the former.
Weird. I don't remember that we've had to make such a ruling, although I can think of a precedent that might be helpful if we need to go there.
Tix says E Team busts his self. Cool. I questioned Teague as an off guard but I backed aaway from that conflict. No one wants a whiner I presumed. Swat got his and the rookie match scores. Sockeye 198-138 B-Madoff Invaders 198-115 Tix and no second chance for Westbrook. Wingo 186-160 Cap who needed a second chance for Harden.

I am formally requesting a standings (records) recount.

Happy Thanksgiving week, turkeys.
Oooooh the pain of my DNP of the season...Still stings as much as it ever did.
E Team says:
For the second time in recent weeks, the E Team needs a 54 from Durant for a win. Got it last time; not so hopeful against the crappy Jazz tomorrow.
But one never knows.

What is this second chance rule you speak of?
Seriously, forgot the exact rule....

Wingos working as Adlai's agent - since being drafted, he will do a triple-double when I don't start him. The power...

I've got Sockeye defeating the E Team by 198-177, with KD playing limited minutes against the Utah Gulls of the short-season rookie league.

I'm kind of at the mercy of the court here.
I've got for Swat-p4:
Swat: Kyrie 33, Curry 37 (2nd chance Sat. Score), Batum 34, Ibaka 31, Jordan 33, Jennings 25 = 193
P4: Paul 38, Ellis 36, Hayward 24, Dirk 27, PauGas 40, MaGas 7 = 172
I think we have had this before E if improper lineup filed by team management 0 or essentially DNP for spot in lineup.
