The acquisition of Marcus Teague gives the Nets 3 guys with a sibling in the NBA. Besides Jeff T., Brook and Robin Lopez , Miles and Jason Plumlee. Reminds me of The 5. Jones brothers Caldwell, Rich, Major, Charles and who Mark? Did they all play in the NBA? Like your conversation with David Rivers in Greece about players from the US playing elsewhere because of a lack of fair trade among owners and agents, it seems insider influence may have reached an all time high.
There were 7 Jones brothers 6 of whom were basketball stars at Albany State a black school in Georgia but only 4 made it to the NBA Wilbert/Caldwell/Major and Charles a fifth Oliver was cut by the Cincy Royals in the mid 60's and became coach of Albany State.I don't know the other 2 brothers names but 6 of them ranked 1-6 on Albany State's all time rebounding list at one time but I don't know if that would still be true
Rich Jones was not related as far as I knowhe played at Illinois and transferred to Menphis State he was a 6-7 small forward who could score in the original ABA
Ticket says So Rich, Collis and former announcer Steve Snapper Jones of the ABA Dallas Chapparals are not from Caldwell's clan. Collis won a ring with the Blazers after Steve had been a Blazer. E Team could not put Invaders into a full Nelson. His Jameer airs tonite from Brooklyn. No Oladipo if memory serves me right. No Bledsoe, no Kobe,no Kemba. He must remove guys from his lineup faster than the beers he consumes searching for crippled guards to defend himself against rebels like Invaders.
I'm a bit worried about peaking early and then getting injuries at playoff time Rudy Gay is my 4th 40+ guy he's looking at a 50-I need a better 2 guard than Klay for the whole roster be 40+ guys I'm very happy with Lawson's production this year
Kings are a very insecure organization with new ownership and coach who probably is desperate to show improvement after Gay deal but I would think they'd possibly be wanting to showcase Thornton/Thompson etc.for potential trades involving picks in next years supposedly deep draft and give McLemore some extra time as well
Final-Germans have win in attempt to escape the cellar with 182-156 over Wingos P4(Lowry-29...Monta-35...Iggy-16...Dirk-28...Pau-48...Redick-26)HW(Burke-16...Stephenson-31...George-30...DLee-35...Hpward-40...ABrad-4)
partials-Ticket is a sure winner with 222 to Sockeyes 94 pending Dragic Wade again a double DNP...Swat leads the Nightcappers 161-144 with Dave needing only 18 from Milsap tomorrow his Monday outburst went toward last match late call...Invaders seem to be winners with a 207-174 lead over ETeam I have Lawson and Eric has Duncan still to play
Done in by my crappy new all-Magic backcourt, which couldn't outplay the collection of rejects that play for Brooklyn. Speaking of which, did anyone notice that as soon as the douchebag Deron Williams went out, the Nets starting winning?
Yes that's correct 124 I forgot Hibbert 30 in my tally-Wade has had 2 DNPs already Final Nightcaps can take over 2nd if ETeam loses thanks to a 187-161 win over Swat Caps(Lilliard-30...Harden-34...Turner-14...Griff-36...Drummond-30...Milsap-43)Swat(Kyrie-39...Curry-36...Batum-18...Ibaka-20...DJordan-42...Jennings-6)
Wade isn't eligible for his Thursday numbers-last year we instituted the 2nd chance rule to cut down on a rash of DNPs but we all agreed that when a DNP occurs a 2nd time in the same match period then that's the last chance for stats regardless of whether there's a 3rd game in the match period or not. This idea was tested by Tom last year and voted down by a majority
Interesting. Invaders' top three - Love, Aldridge and Cousins - and the E Team's top three - Durant, ADave and Duncan - both finish at 135. But Gay's pig-out 54 and my shitty Magicians leave the two teams tied at 207 with Lawson to go. (Oladipo goes 40-plus tonight. Thanks a lot.)
Here's hoping someone pokes Lawson in the eye during the shootaround.
Ticket says Nets will win the greasy kid stuff division with a duplicate of the last team to bring a title to the empire state. A. Blatche/Swen Nater KG/Dr. Dunk Larry Kenon Joe J./Dr. J Deron Williams/John Williamson Paul Pierce/Brian Taylor A. Kirilenko/Wendell Ladner B. Lopez/Billy Paultz Only Nater and Blatche don't match in color but both were soft defenders who could score. Nater took over for Bill Walton who may have played with the fastest man in the NBA Randy Smith whhen Buffalo moved to San Diego. I recall Tom Chambers on Bill Walton's Clippers, who did not care for me patting his shoulder. On the other hand Clipper Bill tossed me his wrist band, which was given to Andy And One when he won the PDXFBL title the invincible Invaders should have no problem acquiring despite his Gay turning into Klay.
Ticket says Another development here in half the american side of the atl-antic division: The new NBA commish claims on a Bloomberg News radio report his predecessor David Stern cleaned up the drug problem and the disaster in the Detroit Palace that tainted the NBA's rep. How? By having Ron Artest swipe Lloyd Free's moniker and opening up an opium chain between Dennis Rodman and the dictator in N. Korea?
Final Ticket wins important game in quest for the playoffs to defend his title by whipping the Sockeyes 222-151 T(isiah-37...Josh-31...Deron-36...Melo-42...Bosh-30...Zbo-46)Sockeyes same as posted add 27 for Dragic
Eric's voodoo doll for my players hasn't affected Lawson(yet)but Gay and Cousins both went down last night limping off the court so the chance to stop my winning streak starts Match 24 against the Wingos as I test my much weaker bench using Young and Matthews
Final Invaders push the ETeam into 3rd place with a 235-207 win I(Love-40...Lamarcus-53...Gay-54...Klay-18...Law-28...Demarcus-42)E(KD-55...AD-47...Duncan-33...Oladip-23...Pek-28...Jameer-21)Invaders get the MHS w/235

E Team says:
Can anybody dent the Invaders armor?
His Aldridge opens with a 53 against the second-place E Team, but Anthony Davis answers with a 47.
Ooh, KlayThom lays an egg at 18. Is the door ajar for the underdog? I've got Durant, but he's got Love and Cousins.
The E Team may have to find some firepower, or dumb luck, or both.

Steve Jones and his brother Nick also an NBA player briefly with the Warriors are Oregon guys
Collis Jones was a star rebounding forward at Notre Dame but did very little as a pro in the ABA
E Team says:
Yikes. I'm rooting for guys to get to 20 while everybody on Mark's roster is going 40-plus.
Uh, I surrender.

Why are Sacramento's starters still on the floor with a 20-point lead and under three minutes to play?
What is that?

Mark I got 161 to, and other player to the IR for awhile, will go with following lineup for Match 24:
Kyrie, Curry, Batum, Ibaka, DeJordan, AlJeff
weeee.
Mark I got Sockeye 124 waiting on Wade and Dragic:
Wall 27
Deng 26
James 41
Hibbert 30= 124
