Alex Johnson, brother of all pro running back N.Y. Giant Ron Johnson, joined Jim Fregosi, Aurelio Rodriguez, Chico Ruiz and Jim Spencer as deceased 1970 Angels. Tony Conigliaro is another one from a year or two later.
The 1970 Angels included three revolutionaries in baseball labor practice:
A bidding war for Rick Reichardt in 1964 lead to the first major league draft in 1965.
Andy Messersmith'srole in the Seitz decision lead to the downfall of the reserve clause in 1975 allowing him to become the first free agent.
Alex Johnson's confrontation with gun toting Chico Ruiz in the clubhouse lead to a ruling that baseball management must treat emotional issues the same as physical ailments. Johnson collected 29 grand in lost wages after the Angels made him out to be a liar and coveted up for Ruiz, the godfather of Johnson's adopted daughter. Johnson went to Chico's funetal funeral.

The team owner would show up and Johnson would say "How's it going, dickhead?"
The E Team, nearly overwhelmed by day to day responsibilities, which now include being an assistant baseball coach at King's Way High, has faltered in his duties. I'll get on that this weekend. My apologies.
