Paula Creamer took no chances last week at the LPGA event in Mexico. At a tournament in Mexico City in March, she contracted an illness whose effects lingered for months, costing her 25 yards in driving distance. For this trip, she paid $140 in excess baggage fees to haul down 40 pounds of food-all she would eat for the week. "Chef Boyardees twice a day. Yum," she said. Also on the menu: canned tuna, PB & J,mac-and-cheese, and fruit cups. She finished second and is feeling fine, too.
As for Ticket, the most recent active champ the year after Paula Creamers won it all, I saw five beavers aground on Ross Island while paddling a kayak. So, take the Beavers and five vs the Ducks in the Civil War.

Tom, you can continue to blind yourself to the real story by ceaselessly tooting your own (skin) horn - Who gives a fuck who was fantasy champion last time Paula Creampie won a golf match? - but for the rest of us it's like depending on Rupert Murdoch for news.
Here what's really worth knowing: Leaving out blowout wins over the McCarthyists and the 'Slinger, the undefeated P4s have won their six other matches by a total of 33 points. That's a victory margin of 5.5 fp's per match.
Despite the Germans' gaudy record and three-game lead, they aren't even the highest scoring team in the league, and are barely holding off Dave for second place. (Kind of like the way Ticket is only 37 points better than the league's sixth-best team.)
I say the match to watch is the P4s against the suddenly revived McCarthiasts. (Hey cool, Nazis versus commie hunters!) Like George W. Bush, one of his heroes, Terry vacationed during the early part of his administration. But he managed to mail in three wins from his bunker and now fields a fully healthy squad for the first time.
The question is not whether the Third Reich will crumble. It's when.
As for the vaunted Invaders-Ticket showdown, I've got five bucks that says Mosier get the win, probably handily. (It's part of my new plan to win back Dave's heart by creating some cool action on the side.)
Oh, and the E Team goes...
LeBron, VC, SJax, Noah, Tyreke and Jason Thompson.
No, really. Look it up. Thompson is a better fantasy player than either Gail Garnett or LameArcus.
