Ticket says

No catchers who can hit? Cardinals Don Padgett batted .399 in '39. (233 at bats)

As for last post's linguist and ex-catcher E-Team, one's reminded of Moe Berg, who "could speak 11 languages and not hit in any."

E Team says:

Has the E Team told the story of being in attendance at the last game of the AFL?

Who played, where did the game take place, and what was the final score?

Invaders wonder is this real AFL like Raiders 1960-69 or arena football? It would have to be in '69 and on the west coast I'd guess if we're talking real football. My first AFL game was 1962 Raiders beat the Patriots 20-0 their only win that season. All the kids ran on the field after the game and the players would pat us on the head and carry us on their shoulders.people would walk their dogs in back of the end zone so we'd avoid the dog piles back there while waiting to run on the field. The AFL wasn't a big operation in those days...

E Team says:

By late tomorrow (Saturday) night, we will have our 2009/2010 champion.

Will it be the XMan, who would become the fifth two-time winner with two titles in four years?

Or the much-maligned Drive-By Shooters, who will remain a kind of running joke, albeit a running joke with a championship?

The end of a fine season. Best of luck to the contestants.

It's in God's hands now.

Banged up Invaders stitch together a final lineup consisting of Horford/West/Granger/D.Williams/Thornton and Maggette who had MRI on knee today and is probable while star Monta is still flu infected and questionable.
