Nitecaps 118 E team 71 Lebron/LaMarcus and Lowry 3 L's left for the E's Dave has Westbrook and Martin left..
excruiatingly bad performance from Monta who couldn't do anything..Lee and Wright were also subdued by the Spur defensive rotations

Oh, okay. Monta, determined to improve on his 8-point outing in Game 1, pours in 10 in Game 2 and gives me an 18.
You know who else had 18 in that game? Somebody named Steve Novak who comes off the Spurs' bench. Some big, white stiff who played 18 minutes. Steve Novak. He had the same fantasy output as Ellis.
If I manage to survive this thing, I'm going to pull the little pea-brained dipshit out of my lineup and never go near him again.

So I'm at the Garden, watching my LaMarcus destroy everything in front of him and put up 28 fp's by halftime. If only the Wizards can stay in the game, I'm thinking, maybe Aldridge can take out Dave's 47-point advantage himself, leaving LBJ and Lowry to go head-to-head with Westbrook and that dainty homo Kevin Martin.
Alas, Gerald Wallace turns the game into a one-sided track meet and Aldridge goes to the pine late in the third, having added three fantasy points to his first-half total.
So yeah, Mark's got it right. I don't really expect significantly different outputs from Lowry and Martin, who seem to be providing most of Houston's offense lately. I'd say the bigger questions are: Can the Pistons stay with the Heat long enough for LBJ to put up a game-changing number? And what kind of night can Westbrook be expected to have against whoever backs up the effeminate Devin Harris, since he's apparently injured.
I'd have to say Dave's got the edge, but hey, you have to play the game.
Invaders would like to state that Novak is a 6-9 white stiff from Marquette who does a slower imitation of what Matt Bonner does...catch and shoot tall slow white guy ...now they have 2 of them..Novak sat w/Mavs and Clippers before this...speaking of slow white guys reminds me of the joke during the OJ mess in the mid 90's-what do OJ and John Elway have in common?-OJ made his getaway in a slow white bronco-Elway is a slow white Bronco..speaking of OJ Eric if you remember you said my ex-girlfriend looked like Nicole Brown Simpson when I showed you a picture-well she got her 4th DUI/wet reckless and lost her license..just avoided jail time..
Also Invaders thanks Eric for heads up on Devin injury-His backup is former UCLA guard Earl Watson a new member of the Mexican national basketball team due to having a Mexican mother..I just picked him up for Thursday in the yahoo league

Or how about this one? Deep in the second period, against one of the least defensive-minded teams in the league, Kyle Lowry, who's coming off his first career triple double, has one point.

I don't think Durrant has taken two shots. Look at his foul shots. That's why Westbrook only has two assists.

I've been the first to point out that the E Team has been anything but a juggernaut over the last ten matches or so. I put up several anemic scores during that stretch and lost to Tom by 75-plus in Match 40.
Obviously, I was hoping for to rally in the postseason - and I would've if I'd drawn Sean in the first round instead of your 'Caps - but hey, it ain't happenin.'
I think there is some pretty good fuel here for that discussion about the relative value of the regular season and the playoffs, but we'll get to that later.
Great underdog win for the XMan, the ultimate survivor. Congratulations!
Oh, and here's a nice stat that kind of typifies the end of my season.

I was hoping to meet Invaders in the first round. Curious to know how that would have turned out.
Mark I do agree this does lend some credence to the argument of regular season vs. playoff money. To see a team that dominated all season get dumped in round 1 is tough. I sure would like to figure out a way to get that one game advantage in the playoffs for the higher seed in other leagues.

Eric as for Kevin Seraphim he looks like a nice project w/good phyiscal attributes....he's from the mainland not Papillion's island..was brought to France at age 15..there was a Guyanese(British Guyana) born NBA player Rawle Marshall who played breifly w/Pacers and Mavs...he went to high school in Detroit...there was also a major league baseball player born in Amsterdam who's parents came from Surinam(Dutch Guyana)he played briefly for the Giants in the early 90's

His name was Rikert Fanyette or something like that he was an outfielder..What it lends credence to is the argument of regular season excellence being undone in a short playoff that can be flukish in relation th the relative strength shown during the season(no disrespect to Dave's achievment intended here)it also makes the one game playoff advantage seem fair-the only question is how to divide the money in a way that shows that and still rewards the ultimate champion the most...and I'm still for 2nd place money and one game advantage for obvious reasons..
