Although the traffic is confusing, I think the Wingos are done playing and finished 4th. I want to thank all of you for a very enjoyable rookie season and hope for many happy returns.

Thanks for joining us Wingos you were a very tough rookie-Invaders apologize for the confusion-I didn't know the procedure for the 3rd place game

E Team says:

What a tremendous showing by Ticket, whose back is to the wall. He's over 200 with a quarter still left for his BJenn, who's still dealing with the lowly Bobcats scratching and clawing in Milwaukee.

Assuming the Germans' Batum roughly matches Jennings with his remaining 12 minutes, the P4's are going to need something on the order of 90 fp's from their Laker twins tonight or this thing goes to the rubber match.

Fantastic stuff.

And the Germans can't be liking the fact that Ticket stowed a 39 and another 30-plus on his bench.

Scary.

Plus 4

Good stuff. Rubber match, anything can happen. Germans enjoy the theatre. Bring your Ä game!

Invaders are going to A's game tonight so I won't be able to give up to date stats on the NIT-King Felix pitching vs. our Cubano sensation Cespedes

Ticket says
Trivia question for Bay area baseball fans: six '51 Giants managed clubs, the three in Cal. were first place finishers at some point.

Rigney '70 Twins I think.
Dick Williams '72-'73 A's
Dark '74 A's
(not so good)
Westrum Met
Stanky White Sox
Lockman Cub

NIT partial Mr.B 134 BDLK 132 Belvederes have Deng BDLK has Chandler and Melo in Bulls/Knicks clash on ABC tomorrow morning-Invaders first team he remembers well was '62 Giants managed by Dark w/Westrum and Lockman the the base coaches-I think all those 6 were '51 Giants though I believe Williams may have been a Dodger around that time as well-he was a Red Sox player when I had his card in '63

Final BDLK wins the NIT w a 215-160 demolishing of the Belveders behind 55 from Melo and 46 for LOve-Invaders will print full box if requested...

An interesting addition to Ticket's trivia question I will offer up now. Herman Franks, played for the 1949 NYG. 1 game and batted .667. Last game of playing career which ended with him below the Mendoza Line at .199.

From 1965-1968, Herman managed the Giants to four straight 2nd place finishes. Remember, this is when the Giants had five Hall of Famers: Mays, McCovey, Marichal, Perry, Cepeda for most of those seasons. And never won the pennant. Best teams ever to not reach the postseason.

Anyway, his question made me think, and Herman Franks was the first name that came to mind. Unfortunately, he was a little too early to retire and never won a pennant. Although he won 95, 93, 91 and 88 games...

Other than the fact he neither played for the '51 Giants nor ever finished in 1st as a manager, it was a good answer.

Invaders seem to recall Billy Martin was Twins manger in '69 and I believe '70 as well both divison winners(first year of divisions was '69)-Rigney managed the Angels in the early-mid 60's and then the Twins-the '69 Giants also managed to finish 2nd making 5 consecutive second place finishes-a frustrating time as the A's moved to Oakland in '68 and went on to 5 straight western division titles '71-'75 and 3 consecutive world titles '72-73 and '74-My first drink in a bar in Oakland at 17 was celebrating the '72 world title
