Hey, I get to relive last season when I drafted KLove, who was expected to miss our first few matches. He came back for a handful (literally) of games, then got hurt and missed the rest of the season. Yea!
Thanks, old Kobe. And thanks for the dogmeat 19 fp's shit-sandwiched between a 36 and a 32 on the way out.
And Mark, are you back? If not, the E Team, who has one day of work left before a two-week break, will take over the scorekeeping duties for the next few matches. Let me know.
And hey, Tom, can you put up a blog heading called The Missing Blazer, or something like that?
I've put a bug in Sockeye's ear (probably a mayfly or some other Northwest native) about what I consider a near certainty: that the Blazers, now a legitimate contender for a Top Four spot in the West, must find a veteran free agent to bolster their bench.
Sockeye and I are now actively trying to outguess Neal Olshey, but I'm dying to know what the rest of you guys think. Get that post up and we'll hash it out. What position? Offense or defense? What can Portland spend? How do you clear a roster spot?
Tom? Mark? X?
Can't wait to reveal the prospects I've identified. I've got a couple beauties.
Sockeye= Wall Wade LeBron Hickson Horford Dragic The end of the 1st sup draft, with the last pick, I drafted JJ Hick, if he was available. Never got word if he was available, but if he's my guy I'd like to start him this match. If he is not my guy, I'll start TrisThomp.
Ticket says Omar Asik? Expensive, like 15 mil til 2015. The Rockets fall from 5th to 6th behind the Clips and Warriors so Asik is well trained for D. How. That would give us 2 bigs for an answer to the Spurs.
Thanks for keeping score E. You will love your A Dave in March when it matters. I did once teams out of the picture pit AD against guys his age. He may bloom faster than Aldridge as far as playoff advancrment.
The hard-luck P4s are about to take out the front-running Sockeye, who is in at 183. Chris Paul getting to 14 will make that happen.
The Invaders could take advantage and move into first-place with a win over the Nitecaps. They went into the night with a 10-point lead and Aldridge and Klay against Lillard and Griffin.
Wingo is projecting at about 210 but may not have enough against Ticket, who's at 183 with Westbrook to go.
And the E Team, deranged by grief over the new Kobe injury, fail to notice the return of Anthony Davis or Tobias Harris, the last of which ruins Oladipo's night... and the E Team's chances against Swat.
