Cap Turner? Didn't he lead the American Association in homers with 4 in 1898? And Sockeye Wall? I believe he fought with Kit Carson against the Mexicans in the Battle of Los Angeles.
Don't recall Cap Turner but Cap Anson was the George Blanda of baseball playing 27 seasons. The greatest HR hitter in the AA in the 19th century dead ball era for a single season was Ned Williamson who hit 24 enabled by a short CF fence. The early 20th century featured the unforgettable Gavy Caavrath had the NL record of 19 (more than double the highest yearly totals of the infamous "Home Run" Baker)these numbers were later shattered by Ruth w/29 in 1919 as the live ball began to be inserted among dead balls in AL games. This inconsistency among the balls may have exacerbated the perceptions of the Black Sox performance in the World Series that year.Ruth hit 54 in 1920 when all balls were the new lively kind.Invaders have the following numbers from the 4 early calls My Love explodes for 71 Sockeyes Wall needs a fish ladder with a 39...Caps Turner has a 21 while HW's Bradley scores 20-Invaders glad to be back scoring!!
By the way, to the best of my recollection, the highest score in league history was a 270-something. Ryan Collins' JRB's did it back in the late 90's/early 2000s powered by an 80-something from Chris Weber.
Tom may remember the details more clearly; I'm not about to go looking for it in the archives.
Partials-Ticket 148+Westbrook ETeam69 Durant/Kemba/Booze and Jamal left to go...P4 168+CP3 Caps 133+Lillard and Griff...Wingos 208 Swat 136 Ibaka and Batum left to count...Invaders 184 awaiting LaMarcus Sockeyes 169 Wade a DNP
Ticket says no Cap Turner but there was Milkman Jim because he delivered for the '42 Yanks and as a coach for them. Tuck T.,Cotton T., and Tom T., born in Custer, Ok and died in Kennewick, may have been a native American just a hunch.
Ticket says 44 for Kemba! E Team spots me 35 on his 3 on 1 break. I did post a 300 last season but all entries were qualified by second chances in the same match period. If you go to Hoop Social, one S, the archives go back to 2005. Bungler, JRB, Big Sky, Big Panty, Drive By Shooters, and And One still appear in the digital era cloud. What has become of them?
Ticket wonders... If my opponents this season average more than league leader Invaders, who has a 3 point lead after 14 matches, should the hi scorer prize money be taken from the leader and put into the prize for the next season?
Ticket asks Why does NY Times farewell to Candlestick prioritize the earthquake World Series over the pennant winning victories over LA and Cubs? The latter marked the end of a 27 year drought. I was there for both.
ETeam-Ticket will be only final the other 3 games need Blazer stats tomorrow for completion-Eric needs 10 from Jamal to win tonight according to Invader calculations-happy holidays all!!

I like Ticket's thinking. There should be some recognition for the league's second highest scoring squad: Whoever's Playing Tom.
Hey, there's an adjustment that needs to be made on Sockeye's Wall. He should be a late call for this match and should not have been an early call in the previous one. Anyone who looks at it logically will understand what I mean, and the fix will not affect the outcome of Match 14. More on this later if there are any questions.
75 and sunny in Santa Cruz. I've been on the beach and in the water the last two days. Eat your hearts out, suckers.
Invaders confirm Dave's scoring-I went w/Wall as early call for this match on Tom's alert so I should take another Wall stat this match?Sockeye currently leads my Invaders 208-184 w/LaMarcus to play as this is a rather important game in the standings I need a early/late ruke clarification. It's mid 60's w/smoggy air here in Oaktown I'd rather be in Santa Cruz now too..

Final the Invaders roll into a share of first place with 230-208 victory over the Sockeyes I(LaMarcus-46...Love-71...Gay-20...Lkay-23...Law-27...DeMarcus-43)Invaders take high score honors w/230-I used Wall's early call 39..
Wall's late call resulted in a 37 - not a 39 - versus the Invaders, and the non-early call in the previous match will require a similar adjustment of a small handful of points. Fortunately, neither outcome was affected in any way.
Tom, while an early call is always preferable to a late call when all things are equal, mostly because nobody likes waiting around for outcomes, you don't create multiple early calls to avoid one late call.
Wall's Wizards had games in Matches 13 and 14, but not Match 15. There was no way to create an early call for Match 15 without creating an early call for the previous match. That's unnecessarily complicated. The Wiz have multiple games in the current match period, an obvious late call situation. Please keep this principle in mind going forward.

A 71 from KLove.
That can be a bit of a game-changer.

Spell check Gavvy (Cactus) Cravath, who hit .341 but that was not enough for what could otherwise have been the triple crown for the 1913 Phillie.

I have a different final score for Wingos Swat final:
DWill 20, Stephenson 40, George 39, DLee 40, DHow 49, Beal 16 (early call Dec. 21) = 204
AlJeff 44, Kyrie 32, Curry (not Lowry) 27, Batum 31, Ibaka 30, Jennings 40 = 204
Match 15 TIE, CAN I PLEASE GET A LEAGUE CONFIRMATION, THANKS
Wingos do not have Beal - they have Bradley, so Wingos win not tie.

No need to post the adjusted scores, Mark, I'll just make the appropriate changes on the standings panel.
