Ticket 182--145 Invaders, LA Waiters will serve the mastermind to a second helping of PDXFBBL championship cuisine this decade compared to seven in 17 seasons for Ticket. I fear Invaders will gain and I will lose my nearly every other year finalist average. The better basketball authority deserves the pleasure of making these runs for glory in our cyber world of fantasy fanatics. We are not quite Phil Jacksons, but we have been around awhile. Thanks again 2014 Invincibles.

E Team says:

ADave's 40 stays on the pine, but the E Team gets 45 from GMon, the guy I probably would have pulled.

More significantly, my Kemba goes 0-10 from downtown, but Sockeye's Wall goes 4-16 from everywhere and puts up an 18.

The E Team has Durant, Bledsoe and 22 fp's against Dragic and Deng, but I'll believe I've got an edge when the counting is done, given my history of postseason nightmares.

Meanwhile, not to get into other people's business, I see the Invaders needing 39 from Aldridge and Waiter to end Ticket's furious late-season run.

... when the fat lady sings.

E Team:

Oh, and Mark. Nancy and I saw the Grizzlies put Kosta Koufos and Nick Calethes on the floor last night.

When was the last time two players of Greek descent suited up for one side in an NBA game? And for, wait for it, Memphis no less.

E Team:

Oh wait, the other Memphis is in Egypt, not Greece.

My bad.

The greatest Greek player never played in the NBA but he did play at Seton Hall and for many years in the Greek league. If you were to ask any Greek who the greatest player ever in their nation's history was the answer would be Nick Galis-Eric you saw 2 of the 3 current NBA Greeks the 3rd is the African guy who grew up there Giannis Antkenoumbo-he's as Greek as Sefelosha is Swiss.By the way do you know Thabo's father worked for Nestle in Africa?I believe that's how he got to Switzerland...and Memphis is in Egypt but Athens is in both Ohio (Ohio U) and Georgia(UGA)

Ticket says I retract my statement about we are not quite Phil Jacksons. The zen master was merely the Knicks informal photographer in the glory years of 70-73. Details are played on a video screen featuring the hook shooter outside Penn Station where MSG is. In PDXFBBL we have historians tracing lineages to the Olympics founders. Can I get a big gulp, they are hard to find here.

All consolation rounds are one and done.

Perhaps we've heard the last from the dispirited Wingo. Poor boy, he had a tough campaign. I hope he'll get up for a postseason beer with us.

Carry on, people.

Thanks to Blazers Lamarcus Invaders have defeated Ticket and advance to the finals for the second time in last 3 seasons.Aldridge is in the 40's at the end of 3rd quarter making Waiters numbers moot. Will it be Eteam I face or the newcomer Sockeye?

E Team:

Congrats to the Invaders, who look to complete the Triple Crown with a first-ever title.

And big ups to Ticket, who battled valiantly to the end in a spirited title defense.

Well done by both squads.

E Team says:

Holy Shabazz! Unless I've got this wrong, Deng's undernourished 12, Sudanese-style, gives Bledsoe a 10-point cushion against his teammate and Sockeye's last man Dragic, who only outpoints him by 6 fp's.

Without having to wait for his Durant, the E Team has advanced to the final.

I'll await your confirmation, Mark.

Kudos on the surprisingly successful first season for Sockeye, who gets one shot against Ticket for third place.
