Works for the E Team

Joe John is John John to Ticket....the subject of the laugh track before an aviation wreck on Pink Floyd's "Damage". Favorite show of Star Trek by E Team involves an aviation wreck to the sound effects on the spacey part from Zepplin's "Whole Lotta Love".
That said I cut Kev Mart Mart, who could come back to haunt me if traded.

To lighten the mood for today's proceedings, I quote Lee Jenkins in 12/21/15 S.I. story on NBA titlist Luke (son of NBA titlist Bill) Walton. "The Grateful Dead used to visit the Walton home, escorted by an armada of Hell's Angels, and Jerry Garcia would tell stories under the 16 foot teepee in the backyard when he was not swimming naked in the swimming pool." One ssentence. A time lost revisited.

Brent Barry, the 2x NBA champ son of champ Rick, surpassed his father's success in winning titles if not in notoriety. That is what any Dad would hope for his son.

Dunno 3rd father/son combo to both win titles but Jones boys Caldwell lost '82 finals, Major lost '81 finals, and Charles won '95 finals. Brother Wil won an ABA title.

Wingos here, do not yet have 15th man. Does that mean we can go first?

Hoop Social said...

Tix guesses yes.

E Team said...

E Team says Wingo is not to be rewarded for failing to maintain a full roster. Wingo can sift through the rubbish when the supplemental is over.

Although Swat will overtake the E Team for seventh place in this match period, we must stick with Match 15 standings because of the one unfinished match.

Swat picks first, E Team second.

Unknown said...

E Team seems bitter, interesting. Wingos will use this slight to add fuel to their fire.

Unknown said...

So are we doing this?

mrkmosier@gmail.com said...

Hawthorne P4 still has 12 but never participates.I'm of the opinion you'd have the right during the 10 am Sunday and 4 pm Monday period after any supp to add a player if you're short of 15 but doesn't seem fair to do it now ahead of bottom teams. My reasoning is you don't drop anyone but go last in first round today.Tom 3rd father son is trick question it's Matt Guokas (jr and sr.)Matt former Magic coach was white bench actor for 1958 Sixer title

Unknown said...

Apparently SWAT is not here. E, what is your pick?

Unknown said...

Wingos happy with Invaders explanation.

mrkmosier@gmail.com said...

Eric take a player I don't think Sean is here

E Team said...

The E Team is not bitter. The E Team is fully in the Christmas spirit.

That said, the E Team will drop sad Tristan Thompson and make his rightful pick, given the Swat Team's apparent absence.

Any objections?

mrkmosier@gmail.com said...

after Eric Tom then myself and Hawthorne unless someone show up in their draft time window

mrkmosier@gmail.com said...

go ahead Eric

I saw Dolph Schayes on '58 Sixers but son Danny never won a title. Funny '83 Sixers and '77 Blazers retired numbers of all key players except Net coach Lionel Hollins, the star of the Blazers when Walton went down.

mrkmosier@gmail.com said...

Invader cut injured Mudiay

E Team said...

The E Team will take the dunkel deutsche Dennis Shroder, not to make a gratuitous racial reference.

mrkmosier@gmail.com said...

that was 1968(typo) team with Wilt Matt jr was on Guokas sr not sure what team but I remember that being mentioned after that title

E Team said...

Ticket is up.

E Team said...

E Team: By the way, Shroder is a straight PG.

mrkmosier@gmail.com said...

ich schwartzer? That's what the other owners said to Auerbach in Yiddish when Red picked Russell with first pick in 1956 draft

Unknown said...

I don't think we should discuss players' sexual preferences...

Hoop Social said...

Tix takes Jae Crowder, agent 99, not from tv's "Get Smart".

mrkmosier@gmail.com said...

your pick Tom

mrkmosier@gmail.com said...

Invaders anticipating a Howard injury in 2016 take Clint Capela Rockets promising 2nd year 4/5

Unknown said...

Great pick Mark, Wingos pick Brandon Jennings, because who doesn't want a BJ?

E Team said...

E Team:

Mark, you mean "Ist schwarzer." You inadvertently used the first-person singular "ich," which would translate to "Am I black?"

E Team said...

E Team: Wait, first a black German, then a black Swiss guy. Weird. Is there, like, a black Swedish guy?

Unknown said...

Wingos cut Mo Williams before next pick.

Unknown said...

Do Wingos get next pick now as well, a la wraparound?

mrkmosier@gmail.com said...

sorry about my bad German asking existential questions-Sefelosha's mother worked for Nestle at Swiss HQ amd went to work on chocolate procurement in Cameroon where she met Thabo's dad.Jerebko is only Swede and is a weiss

E Team said...

E Team: Hey, there are actually two black guys that start on the Swedish national team, including the Swedish-American Jeffery Taylor, who was drafted by Charlotte but is playing in Madrid. Somebody grab him.

Unknown said...

He is a weisswurst...

mrkmosier@gmail.com said...

Eric are you finished?any objection?I'm ok with that idea

E Team said...

And Mark, technically, that was your bad Yiddish.

mrkmosier@gmail.com said...

I didn't know about Taylor but Bay Area product Drew Gooden (El Cerrito High)is half Finnish and is able to play for their National Team

Unknown said...

Blazer game on now, nice Sunday morning treat, with only one football game on...

mrkmosier@gmail.com said...

Yes I never heard real German around my house but many words are identical

Unknown said...

Mark, should Wingos pick? They stand ready.

Unknown said...

The silence is deafening. Wingos pick Afflalo.

Unknown said...

Wingos now cut Marcus Thornton, and will take their extra pick as soon as you guys are done.

I don't have any more bright ideas regarding improving my team's fortunes. I'm done.

Hey Mark, I wanted to mention, the Raiders have shown up on my TV like three times in the last four weeks and I've actually watched some of their games. Probably more so than at any time since before the Marc Wilson/Jay Schroeder Era, when Al Davis was clearly beginning to lose his mind, hiring and rehiring the inept Art Shell as his head coach. Except for that brief Rich Gannon run, I have been largely unable to find a reason to follow the team for literally decades.

But here I've been, tuning in, and hey, the team isn't that bad. I like the young Carr fellow and their defense has had some good showings. Imagine that. Back to paying some attention to my once-beloved silver and black, the team I instantly adopted when my dad took me to see them play an exhibition game against the hated Broncos - I still hate them - at Civic Stadium in Portland back in '68.

mrkmosier@gmail.com said...

sorry I walked away Wingos can pick go ahead

Unknown said...

Wingos son Quinn, and one year HoopSocial fodder, is big Raiders fan, due to East Bay relations on his mom's side. Kahlil Mack is a phenomenal, once-in-a-generation player. Amazing that he came from U. of Buffalo (the "U").

mrkmosier@gmail.com said...

Glad your back with the correct football team to root for,My first game was 1962 at Frank Youell field that held about 17,000.The first year 1960 they played as Kezar sharing with Niners next year they played at the new Candlestick park long before the Niners the Receivers are great and Carr can find them.

Thanks Mark, with their third and final pick the Wingos pick Nurkic. Happy Holidays to all, although Hanukkah is already over. I got to spend the last night of Hanukkah with a group of Holocaust survivors for the fourth straight year. Good, fun-loving people, although their ranks are thinning each year. Very happy thay they are getting to die of old age...

Seth Roberts the undrafted 2nd reciver who has played great went to West Alabama.Mack is a tremendous player I think Starks the Packer rb also went to Buffalo aren't they in the MAC conference now?
