Do you believe in miracles?

The NiteCreamers, who've been doing some unusually spirited smack talking of late, may have brought down some heavy juju upon themselves.

Get this: Schittslinger's J.R. Smith and 21 fp's against Dave's Bogut for the rookie's first win.

Wow.

Much to Team E's chagrin...

"Get this" J.R. Smith 4...Andrew Bogut 41!

This match was never in doubt.

Don't underestimate coaching with the sub of Bogut for Okafor.

Ticket says obviously not to:

Evidently, the NiteCreams still had more than a little juju left on their side, as Bogut enjoyed a pair of overtimes and Smith turned in one of the truly horrid fantasy performances of the season. By anyone.

And, uh, Tom, that wasn't me that commented about the P4s' silly lineup, although I agree it was too cute for its own good. "Oh Canada?" Does everybody know Nash grew up in Canada? And what about the fact they'd been going with Bargnani, who plays in Toronto?
Quit goofing around, goofballs.

In case anybody was wondering, we're waiting on Terry's Baron, who needs a 23 to power the McCarthyists to a win over the Invaders.

In other action: the 'Caps escaped the Schittslinger by 209-193; the E Team stopped the Shooters, 196-182; and the Germans defeated Ticket by 212-188 (Parker had 22 and Okur had 16).

I'll file the Mosier-McCarthy story later, along with an updated standings board, then it's back over to the KnishKommish, who's back from his successful stint on the rodeo tour, his English riding helmet intact.

E Team says:

The McCarthyists, given up for dead a month ago (by their owner), snap a two-match slide by sending the Invaders to their third straight loss, 191-181, dropping the Oakland-based squad to .500.

I sent this out via email because it formats so poorly here. Read it and weep.

A pair of three-match winning streaks goes on the line as the E Team, which could actually move into playoff position, takes on the first-place Germans.

in case it has gone unnoticed, P4 enters their line-ups in order from one to five, a space for their sixth man flex position. The potential for a mix up I calculated at under 5%. It was a calculated risk we were willing to accept in the name of comedy. There will be more.

oops... I just spilled some sauerkraut on my leather jacket.
