E Team says:

With 23's from Monta and the hamstrung SJax, the E Team isn't looking so hot against Kontrol. Then again, the 7 from Baron isn't helping the Invaders any. And there are a lot of low numbers around the league.

We'll see.

Invaders are stunned-Jazz trade Deron Williams for Devin Harris/Favors and 2 #1's...Nets this year and Warriors in 2012(they got that from stupid trade for Marcus Williams)Warrior also acquire Murphy for Gadzuric and Brandan Wright....Marcus Thornton and David Andersen to Kings for Carl Landry

JRB sent this e-mail to me in time for this match:

jennings for evans
Ryan Collins
(503)539-0207
Date: Tue, 22 Feb 2011 13:29:27 -0800

I can forward that if needed.

So when you (Mark) pick up your Bergen Record off your stoop in your bathrobe ala Tony Soprano, does it make you feel at all misinformed that Jerry Sloane's whipping boy Deron Williams will now be hawking tickets in a dying mall near you, like Charlotte owner Michael? Jordan?

Ticket says
Both Utah and Nets are late calls this match period so if Williams miraculously reports to the Russian's cess pool Friday, no doctoring of fantasy sked will behoove Ticket. Since multi-millionaires usually require time to adjust to job fair lines in backwater towns, Ticket carries little hope for upping his 164 or whatever this match.

So the Western Conference loses Yao,Amare,Melo, and Williams from a recent all-star team. Long live Chuck Hayes,Robin Lopez,Danilo Galinari and Devin Harris.

Speaking of Brooke's sister, the Suns have been in Phoenix longer than the Blazers have been in Portland. These are the two oldest Western Conference teams that weren't rejected by another city in an earlier franchise period. I previously said the Blazer fans were privy to the senior most grass roots operation in the NBA west.

Invaders read(from Portland source and Charlotte press) that Blazers are about to steal Gerald Wallace from Bobcats for Vanilla Gorilla/first round pick and cash...great deal for Portland...

Hoop Social said...

Melo is playing for Knicks tonight so no DNP for Ryno...Jennings had good game so late sub may upset Nitecap ownership....Invaders say Ticket is lucky to have Nets late call as Jazz go tonight thus also avoiding DNP

Invaders have just read Hinrich and Hilton Armstrong were traded to Hawks for Bibby,Maurice Evans and rookie Jordan Crawford and 1st round pick..this trade was erroneously reported to include Jamal Crawford by ESPN earlier..

E Team says:

Utah is not a late call. They're playing right now. I don't think anyone had Devin going anyway, so it doesn't matter.

Nets indeed play Friday for this match period.

Also, the E Team's J.J. Hickson debut is going horribly right now and the frontrunner appears almost certain to lose a second straight.

I'm scoreboard watching now.

My team has one eye on the playoffs and the other trying figure out how we are going to stay out of a first round match up with E beast falls flat against JRB's.

Ugh!

Melo out performs Amare and soundly I might add.

Aldridge 5-4-5 & 12 points vs LA in 1/4 before first miss. He's no.2 in offensive rebounds in NBA. Mark, who's no. 1?

The Hornets have officially traded Marcus Thornton to the Kings in exchange for Carl Landry.
The potential big winner in this deal is Thornton, who couldn't consistently get off the bench in New Orleans due to defensive issues, but now has a chance at a consistent role with Tyreke Evans (foot) sidelined for three weeks. The only problem there is that Thornton is now playing for Paul Westphal, whose rotations are notoriously maddening in their inconsistency

E Team says:

Mark, I think I have 177, not 178.

The Hickson for DLee switch costs the ETeam 19 points and a win. Ugh.

The top three human teams lose. Swat looks to put some distance between himself and the Germans. Ryno and Ticket battle to stay out of the cellar.
