League Office:

The Invaders look rock solid, projecting in the 220's against Swat, who may not reach 200 with his twin leprechauns AlHor and ABrad to go with 143 fp's.

And here's a dose of weirdness: The defending champion P4, against the wall vs. Ticket, manages to deadlock the hungry challenger at 140-all. That would be good news if Hans had his Batum and IThom ready to double team Tom's Harden. But news reports say the Frenchman is still c'est mal with the migraine thing and is doubtful for a second chance tomorrow night. So, IThom and Harden head-to-head? You tell me who has the advantage there. I suppose it would be fitting for a DNP to decide this thing, given all the discussion around it these days, but that would be a sad way to finish.

It's like Casablanca. Get on the plane, Nic. Get on the plane!

Ticket looks at Laker "room share" arena for Harden to clinch the pennant. B a t u m in Indy other focal point. Reminds me of 2000 Finals, a Smits-Sabonis Euro hero hoist of the title trophy if not for the twelve minutes in hell, i.e. Laker 16 point comeback.

League Office:

Well, I'm guessing it's Hans with the migraine after Batum fails to suit up.

So it's the Northwest product, IThom, against Harden for P4's playoff life. At last count, Harden's up 27-23. The good news for those who love drama is that Thomas is involved in a high-scoring back and forth against the young 'Wolves while Harden's Rockets are throttling the dogshitty Lakers. If Minnesota keeps it close in Boston and the fLakers don't do anything, we might have a contest.

Worth keeping an eye on with a title on the line.

Harden's got 32 at the half, Rockets up 14.

IThom, weak third quarter, 28, going to the fourth, game still close.

It's over. Confetti from the rafters. Ticket has won the championship!

League Office:

Ticket opens the door for a do-or-die third match, but P4 sends only five guys through it, and Tom wins his unprecedented fourth title, 185-175. I suppose the DNP discussion will start up soon enough; let's give Ticket a little time for a well-earned celebration.

Well done!

And to the Invaders, who snatch the NIT trophy with a convincing 238-207 win over Swat. Again, congrats.

For the record. Order of finish:

Ticket
P4
Nitecaps
E Team
Invaders
Swat
Wingo
Kontrol

The League Office will complete its reconstruction of prize payouts this season and previous and be prepared to hand out cash and IOU's ASAP. Anybody wants to work on setting a time to get together for a beer this weekend or next, let me know.

Good season, people.
