Tell me, Dave, who the hell would Mark have picked up in your geeky perpetual waiver wire world to replace Granger and KevMart? Nick Young? The idea is to build a roster on draft night that can sustain you when you have injuries, kind of like the real NBA. Plus, you put in the time before the draft and then you don't have to tweak out all winter long combing the league for some marginal player that might give you 25 fp's on his best night. I, for one, don't have time for that shit.
Your weekly waiver time waster is kind of like text messaging. Nifty invention, but we have this other thing called a telephone where you dial a number and actually speak to the person you want to communicate with. It's really pretty cool, and I'm not going to stop using it just because some pindick invented something more time-consuming and less efficient.
That's my goddamn two cents. And you can keep the change.
Eric-Here's Invaders' 2 cents (I don't text either but for someone w/lots of bar/restaraunt experience you're a big tipper-keep the change on 2 cents?)Anyway Invaders would like to point out that's it's not accurate to depict Nick Young as the only alternative to KevMart going down after game 5( after a couple of weeks Maggette adequately replaced Granger)-if we truly were involved in a weekly waiver league there'd be many options to pick up players w/hot hand or favorable matchups just for a given weeks' games not to mention people cut from other drafted rosters.If forced to use people like Flip Murray/Rasual Butler/Corey Brewer/Omri Casspi/etc for scoring..25 for a best night would've won me at least 3 and probably 4-5 more games....These players certainly aren't good enough under present format-a switch to multi-positions though would actually help me more than weekly waivers(I need tweeners!)-perhaps compromise allowing only 1-2 multi-positional players per team and desiginate them as such before draft.
Invaders note to Dave-Last night an owner in my ESPN league complained because I'd made 105(before today's pickup of DeAndre Jordan/dropped Blake Griffin) transactions before the all-star break(I won the championship last year streaming around 200)I had to remind him that streaming is a major component of fantasy strategy in daily leagues.Since my team here looks hopeless even though Martin is back Friday,I'm ready for pitchers and catchers!!
Did you think we would run and hide like Frenchies? Two beatdowns and a match high once our rightful place in the Universe came into question. Do not threaten again.

Ebony and Ivory, I don't think so.
Eric-I was essentially kidding-I'm not giving up- Invaders look forward to rest of the season-Streaming is a term associated w/category leagues and refers to guys who add/drop lots of players to win stat categories based on cumulative results..It wouldn't work in this format and is the polar opposite of your argument w/Dave over the future of the league- therefore I specified it as a note to him and relayed a story from my ESPN league that he'd understand after our Yahoo baseball league experience last year..

First, my visits with Eric at Blazer games, rock climbing gym for his son and his pal, and holiday dinner.
There's reality, ours is perfectly peaceful. Would you go to games with someone you don't get along with for 13 years? Luke Ridenour looks better than Steve Blake to us. We probably don't disagree enough. That's why all these games without a prayer for a title would be more stimulating if we did differ in opinion more.
Then there's fantasy. I just met Matt Barnes signing autographs outside the Nines Hotel, the sight where I told an employee to tell my boss he can blow me then got fired. Matt says he's a power. That marginal guy's 25 Eric's talking about looks fine to me now that Scola's my only power. Soooo
