Ticket says

Note the Knish Commish will observe the stats from the next Nugget match in Jan., not a makeup game if there is one for tonight's iffy game at OC.

Nuggets, who expect to have Carmelo Anthony back as they go for a ninth straight win, and the suddenly struggling Thunder could be delayed with a severe winter storm blanketing Oklahoma City.

Denver (31-14) boarded an airplane shortly after Wednesday's 97-92 win over Houston to beat an ice storm that has since covered the Oklahoma capital and surrounding area. The ice has made conditions there dangerous, and the game may be postponed.

Namedropping is contagious. It was Invaders who hung out w/Kersey,didn't know about Dave's history w/him-he's a big baseball fan-It was March and I was down there for spring training/NCAA regionals and Warriors-1996.At NCAA regionals in '94 at Ogden,Utah(Kidd's last Cal game)I was drinkinking w/Stu Jackson and Michael Finley's mother when Michael got caught trying to hit last call in the hotel bar.I never met Walton(burned a tree w/Eric) but I had breakfast at the Athens Marriott w/an unhappy David Rivers,he hated Greece, had a brief conversation w/Reggie at an Oakland breakfast spot when he was between Yankees and Angels.I asked if he was signing w/Braves-"I got a white old lady I couldn't handle Atlanta"(he married a beautiful blonde A's ball girl).Met Vida at an Oakland Hofbrau.I was chauffered to a Warrior game in Al Davis' black cadillac w/Al's son Mark(he was a friend from high school) by Jack Tatum-we offered him some smoke but he said not if he had to drive....Also was at Hilton at Oakland airport Sunday brunch before Suns game in late '70's and had Paul Westphal and Alvan Adams behind me in line-I asked "you guys always eat like this before a game?looking at my plate piled high Adams said "no,not as much as you"...

I believe this is an accurate slinger lineup?

Hoop Social said...

Posey will probably start year at Fresno but could be up quick if Molina gets hurt.ESPN compared his situation w/Zaun and Wieters at Baltimore last season who came up at end of May-awful early draft Dave?

E Team says:

Ticket, who has limited access to the Internet, has instructed the league office to post this lineup...

Wade, Tim, Gay, Jermi O'Neal, Jameer and Scola

He also reports having left a phone message indicating this change - prior to deadline - at the corporate offices of Hans Manseth Enterprises, the German arms manufacturing concern.

E Team says:

Here we go, people. All that baseball talk now seems appropriate, 'cause it's doubleheader time.

The first-place Germans appear to be at full strength despite the woeful 138 in Match 26. That debacle came amid a run that otherwise included scores of 230, 228, 251 and 245.
They face Ticket, who's fighting for his playoff life.

The Nitecaps, seemingly invincible until recently, reached 200 last match after a stretch of four matches in which the squad never surpassed 185, going sub-180 three times.
A pair against the Schittslinger should have been a picnic, but the upstart rookie posted a 209 last match.

The marquee match pits the third-place DBS (219.6 in last five) against the fourth-place E Team, which has won six of seven while posting an impressive 221.0 average.
A split will change little, but a sweep will put the victor in a position to challenge for a Top 2 seed, something that seemed unthinkable a month ago.

And the showdown between the Invaders and the rookie McCarthyists, both relatively healthy, could produce a prime challenger for playoff position.

Oh, the magic and wonder of it all. Let's get it on!

Has there ever been anything like the DBS???

Will one of the league historians get back to me on this.

Hoop Social said...

Invaders received super bowl pool sheet, will fill out next week..

Hoop Social said...

E Team says:

Dave, in response to your DBS question, no. Never.

More on that in a bit.
