The defending champion Nitecaps are officially eliminated from the pennant race with the loss to JRB.
But hey, this thing is not over. The E Team, having scored well under 200 in back to back losses, faces Swat, the Nitecaps, Ryno and the Invaders in the next four, while the Invaders take on Kontrol, the P4s and Ticket in preparation for the showdown with the E Team in Match 38.
Monta and SJax are beat up, Felton just got traded, and DLee and Boozer have officially become will-they-make-it-to-30-fp guys. This thing could go down to the wire.

Oh, and there should be no more than one remaining supplemental and it should happen this Sunday. We agreed to shut the thing down before the season ended. I thought it was Match 30, as in previous years, but maybe we extended it to Match 35. It's on the blog somewhere.

In '07 Green sent from Celtics for Ray Allen, now returned for Perkins and (Invaders scoffed at) piggy Knick Nate R. Some Dwyer guy says Thunder stole Perkins. Fuck Perkins. Nenad almost an equal meaningless player in post season. So Green, knocked by Dwyer for just hucking four threes a game is replaced by Never Pass Nate. I hate Boston but they got a starter and a stiff for two stiffs.
The Cunningham-G. Wallace deal for real? It's not on web after deadline.
P.S. Another supplemental draft after three matches seems pre-mature E-(jacu-later would be better) Team. Ticket calls for a vote since three-four playoff teams deserve to shore up any injury problems closer to playoff time.

Invaders believe Blazers are legit for 7th or 8th spot but don't see them beating Spurs/Mavs or Lakers in first round...I don't see them as good as OKC either...I knew Green was on the block because Ibaka looks like a potential star..I like Green(he's on all 3 of my fantasy teams) but he was forced into shooting 3's to fit w/Durant and Westbrook..he'll play less behind Pierc and KG though...big baby will take 4 minutes..Celts wanted tweener who could shoot to spread floor and didn't think they could afford Perkins new contract-mild ACL sprain sealed his fate-Thunder got better of this deal due to Perkins toughness and Ibaka superiority to Green on boards and defense.It also means the 2 O'neals must be getting healthy to share 5 spot w/Kristic...Robinson does nothing for Thunder..Eric Maynor is more useful..Perkins is Texas native and would resign w/OKC
Some other Invader notes on trades-Mayo- McRoberts and 1st deal will be dis-allowed beacuse they didn't have it wrapped up by trade call deadline-will probably happen before draft-Marks goes to Bobcats in addition to Pryzbilla and Cunningham(Camby must be almost ready to return)....Marquis Daniels to Kings for cash(odd one)Kings also asked for extension on 3/1 deadline to file for move to Anaheim......add Ishmael Smith to Grizzlies and DeMarre Carroll to Rockets as part of Battier-Thabeet deal
Rumor here is that Murphy will be bought out by Warriors and sign w/Celts instead of Magic(Irish in Boston too important to fan base)...a lot of players not traded will now be bought out..first will be Rockets Jared Jeffries and Cavs Leon Powe who also would likely head back to Celtics....supposedly Bobcats wanted Rudy in original Wallace deal but were informed he wouldn't play there if traded

Is the Vanilla Gorilla going to take a buyout and be brought back to Portland?
Dave-The word Invaders are hearing is that Przybilla wants to go back to Milwaukee and back up Bogut next year for 10 year vet minimum...1.3 million currently....since his career is almost over he would be unlikely to leave much salry on the table to come back to Portland which is what it would probably take..Blazers will have to play small a lot w/Aldridge at 5 I'd guess and look for other big men who are buyout candidates..
Eric- Invaders would take either Dallas or Thunder in playoff w/Blazers..though they're my second favorite team after Warriors and I'd root for them..

Mark, I say let's see where we are at the end of the regular season.
Eric- Dallas is very deep w/good role players-Chandler looks great right now and his back-up Haywood would start on half the teams in the league if not more...I'd rather have Chandler than Camby at this point...this kid Beaubois looks real good(have you seen him?)...Kidd now plays as many minutes if not more at 2 then 1 w/Barea (who's deceptively effective on offense in strange matchups like a white Boykins))or Beaubois in the game-Kidd is always defensive 2 w/Terry...weak spot is small forward w/Peja and Stevenson but both guys stretch the floor w/25 foot range..Stevenson is a great defender a lot like Bruce Bowen which doesn't show up on the stat sheet...I suggest this is another case where you're equating fantasy numbers w/reality..Maverick chemistry w/Chandler is much better than I ever saw it w/Dampier who doesn't have the same legnth and mobility...if they had Butler they'd be as good as anyone..Wallace will obviously help Portland a lot but the reality is he'll have to be an undersized 4 and play w/LaMarcus because Camby's minutes must be limited-Kidd vs.Miller is a wash..if Roy can play is the difference-I'm of the opinion that he's done...Batum is only matchup I give clear edge to Blazers..LaMarcus is better athlete obviously than Dirk but if the 'aryan" is hot then no one can guard him in short series

Blazers win division since Perkins will pout instead of produce, something the "Mav-calibre" center of disappointment could only do with four Boston all-stars. The Thunder remind me of nowhere '90 Mavs: Dantley vs Durant*;Blackman vs Westbrook* as second option;
Sam Perkins* vs Ibaka;James Donaldson* vs Krap Perkins at pivot*;Derek Harper/Brad Davis* vs Maynor/Harden/Nate
To put it frankly Mark,the Blazers just climbed out of single go to guy problem in the final minutes (like 0-8 finale inal four minutes vs Lakers Wed.). If Wallace is the backup to Durant on the All-Star team I expect from a depleted western conference (Rudy Gay in Wallace's way?), the Thunder can't compete with our bench or our bigs. Ibaka (offense?) and Perkins (defense?)are arguably the least versatile bigs of any playoff team...Time is all the Thunder has on it's side.
The reason Cuban's upset about Carl Landry on the Hornets at the expense of every NBA owner's stake in the Hornets (after a deal for Thornton, who makes four times less than Landry), is because the Mavs are now equaled by drunken Jack's jokers.
Mark, please explain Mighty Ducks' roomate the Kings in Anaheim. Could LA be to hoops what Giants,Dodgers and Yanks once were to baseball?

Tom you're a Blazerholic... Invaders love Ibaka and Perkins is an enforcer very hard to move out of block-what they do doesn't show up in the box scores-these 2 give a phyisical presence that Thunder lacked w/Kristic and Green-again you look at too much fantasy and not enough real basketball-the chemistry created by presence of Ibaka- Perkins and Sefolosha plays perfectly to the scorers Durant-Westbrook and Harden who now will become major force w/out Green around...What bigs other than Aldridge and Camby do Blazers have??what bench depth??Batum and Matthews and Mills are it if Wallace and Roy are healthy-you assume Roy will be able to play-I assume he'll breakdown in playoffs or before..Wallace often gets hurt as well(because he plays w/reckless abandon)that means Matthews is the 2 guard..Would you rather have Harden or Rudy as top bench scorer-?-I'll take Harden
