It's on!

The Shooters, with Stacy turning his back on Love (38) in favor of Booz (24), still have enough to snap the Germans' five-match run, 220-186.

Ticket (174+Melo) briefly gets an NIT standings lead with a win imminent over shorthanded McCarthyists. Then Wade's lost. At least he's not the eighth different guy to cough up a DNP.

E-TeamvsNitecaps? Surprising nothings been said.

Looks like Team E needs 26 from LeBron to continue his assault on the number the two seed and send Nitecreamers into there rightful position of the second tier.

The Barbarians are officially at the gate.

The E Team, guided by LeBron's 77, ends the Nitecaps' six-match win streak with a 243-191 decision, taking over the scoring lead in the process.
The E Team has won eight straight, taking match money in five of the last seven.
The 'Caps stay one game behind the P4's despite the loss. The Shooters, with their win over the Germans, remain within two of the E Team.

Down south, Ticket snaps a six-match slide and grabs the top spot in the NIT race with a 230-113 win over the four-man McCarthyists.
Ticket trails the fourth-place DBS by four and a half with eight to play. Let's see if he continues to badmouth the schedule that will give him back-to-back shots at Stacy in Matches 35 and 36.

If there were a record book, the Invaders might be in it with their six-man 132 in a loss to the 'Slinger, as reported.

Gregg, who is not yet mathematically assured of last place, has won two straight.

With apologies, I forgot to mention the following...

The P4's and the Nitecaps have officially clinched spots in the Top Four.

A Shooters win over the McCarthyists in Match 33, which seems likely, will effectively - if not officially - relegate the latter to the NIT.

And the rookie Schittslinger will also participate in the Small Dance, which leads me to propose a rule change, subject to league approval.

Now that we have eight teams, what if, rather than the last place finisher in the regular season buying drinks, the last place finisher in the NIT gets the honor?

Another incentive to keep things competitive.

Just a thought.
