Match 37 Scores

E Team says:

The bottom part of the Germans' lineup may not be all that impressive - Bargnani (16), EGord (12) - but the top half is getting it done. Dirk (49) and Durant (47), with help from Curry (49), have assured the P4s of a win over the five-man McCarthyists.

That means the Shooters, who are locked in another mano-a-mano with the Nitecaps, will not win the regular season crown, regardless of the outcome of that match.

The Germans' magic number for eliminating the E Team, which is cruising against the 'Slinger, is down to one.

Not that we've run out of drama. If the XMan prevails over the DBS - he's got BRoy, ZBo and 23 fp's against Amare, Boozer and Rose - two teams will remain separated by one game for first place and going head to head in Match 38. It will also eliminate Stacy from the homecourt race.

If the Shooters win, the E Team will close to within one game of homecourt advantage. That squad, which seems headed toward the scoring title, will take on the NiteCreamers in Match 39 while the Germans meet the Shooters.

That's quality action, people. Savor it.

E Team says:

Oh, and Mark, who's the Thornton guy in your lineup? Marcus Thornton? Thornton Wilder? I think I may have credited you with Al Thornton a few matches back, not that it would have mattered.

That's why I ask you guys to clarify this stuff.

Thanks.

Ticket says
not that it would have mattered ?#@!

I've been saying that for years, but noooo.

X-man's commish, I blow it off.

Dick-tator...look for disallowed Lou Williams atop hypothetical Supplemental Sunday Draft.

You know why God invented the orgasm? So monkeys like the X-man know when to stop.
True!
But why the beatdown on Stacy???
Your road trip must have taken to some living arangements that had no mirrors.
Stacy puts in long hours in a taxing job. I give him big ups for keeping the love alive.
I would also wager that he doesn't harbor an ounce of the bitterness as you do.
Tom...move on from your divorce. It has nothing to do with FBB.
Face it. You made a shady move. If you had a history of lackadaisical roster postings, this would go unmentioned. But to your credit, that's not the case.
If you made an honest mistake. Be mad at your self not us.
I however still suspect I will find a picture of you with your glasses on backwards, whip creme on your head, one buxom blonde, one pasty redhead and one emo brunette groping you on Stacy's facebook page.

Ticket says
Nitecap, Go see your partner in crime Randy tending at Hubers. The only time it was worth me tanking was when I squared myself up for a desired playoff match. I don't need to get in E-Team's craw for any other reason than that. And he rendered that move negative, like he did Stacy's Love for Lou Will...'cause he's so righteous changing skeds and all.

Eric-Invaders think you're aging rapidly showing signs of short-term memory loss.he's the guy I stole from you w/2nd pick in the last supplemental draft remember? You knew it was Marcus-Are you getting forgetful?and you're right I got cheated out of a few points against Nitecaps-should have been 171 points instead of 160's but I didn't push it because I won that match anyway. The first of the back to backs. Please adjust points and if you look back you'll see you mentioned Thornton at least 3 times in posts during and after the third supplemental.

Invaders think it just spring fever or perhaps "the Ides of March" that contributed to Eric's Thornton dualities, perhaps too long in Portland("our town")a city of many bridges(like the one at San Luis Rey)...Perhaps you also read my comments extolling Al Thornton and Blatche as having a bright future w/Wizards which your subconscious used as a rationale to erase the disappointing memories you had from not being able to draft Marcus?

E Team says:

Finishing hard, the Shooters post a 224 and keep their hopes for home court alive with an almost certain win over the NiteCreamers, who would need a 73 from BRoy to come back.

That leaves the DBS, whose ex-wife I hung out with in Tacoma today (don't ask), one behind the third-place E Team and two out of the Number Two spot with three to play.

As a bonus for the Ruff Trader, the E Team, troubled by Nate Robinson's new microwave role in Boston, benched his Rondo (35) in favor of Deng (11). That leaves the DBS, one of two realistic hopefuls for the scoring title, trailing the E Team by 65 fp's with three to play.

The Germans' win over the four-man Mac Club (sorry, I said five before) is official at 194-110.
Remember, the P4s have clinched home court. They can win the regular season title by defeating the NiteCreams in the upcoming Match 38.

The E Team, barring a 71 from Dre Miller, moves to within a game of second place.

And the Invaders reach 200 for the first time since Match 24 in a 210-187 win over Ticket.

E Team says:

And yeah, my bad on the Thornton thing, Mark. I'll go back and fix the point differential.

But please, don't make me have to use my brain. I've got it working on some other stuff right now.

Thanks.
