Jeez, all of a sudden the best looking teams in the league aren't even in the first division, and the major award winners are going to back into their titles with asses dragging.

The Germans are still alive but under heavy fire against the Invaders, who are at 179 with Granger to go. Their tiebreaker looks safe, which means they'll keep the top seed no matter what, but what becomes of the vote to split prize money if they finish as co-champions with the NiteCreams, a distinct possibility?

Wow.

Meanwhile, the E Team's high-flying stretch run has turned into a debacle. He's getting hammered by Ticket and facing his third loss in five matches. With a 15 from Rondo, his bid for the scoring title isn't looking so good either.
Then again, rumor has it that the DBS may reach new heights in team management excellence by going four-man in his current match.
And just for additional amusement value, the bottom-dwelling 'Slinger, Stacy's opponent, has 40-plusses from Pau and Aaron Brooks and may be poised to notch his seventh and final win of the season.

Double wow.

I met Jim Davis in the library. He's performing Irish music in I think he said Bethany tomorrow. Since my ex-friend Dan Evans turned into an Irish singer, I wonder what it all means. The Irish are a source of happiness?
That's it! Paddy's former owner gives E-Team his dream come true-a ticket to the fantasy finals against a crippled opponent in Nitecap!

More wow.

Ticket gets 130 fp's from his first three guys, but the E Team gets 140 from his last three and records a dramatic 221-219 win, clinching third place and completing a 6-0 season sweep of the Ducat Dealer.

In the process, the E Team wins the scoring title.

The Shooters, with a 22-point advantage and 100 bucks up for grabs, elect to go four-man, as anticipated.
The E Team is hardly an undeserving winner at 203.8 for the season, but if I told you guys who Stacy could've subbed, you'd agree this is one of the most egregious giveaways in league history, akin to when the Ruff Trader's hyperactive maneuvering handed Ticket his first championship back in the Monica Lewinski era.

The Germans need 85 from Dirk and Durant to win the pennant outright. With help from the inert McCarthyists, the NiteCreams now appear to have the upper hand in their five-on-five and are angling for a share of the regular season booty.

That's damn fine action.

E Team says:

Jeez, who would've thought a guy could put up a 154 in Match 40 and win himself a share of the regular season title?

And yet, there it is. The teflon-coated NiteCreamers, a team that mixed dominance in the middle portion of the season with wins featuring scores of 156, 169, 174, 172 and 152, defeat the five-man McCarthyists by 154-117, earning a tie for the pennant.

Plus Four, a team that opened with a eight-match win streak and surrendered first place only briefly all season, settles for the tie after a 215-210 loss to the Invaders.

With yea votes from the E Team, the NiteCreams and Ticket, and barring any further legal action, it seems we've decided that the co-champions will split the $100 pennant pot. The P4s get the No. 1 playoff seed based on points.

If the Ruff Trader is looking for consolation after his self-imposed disaster of a finish, the guys he left on his bench going four-man in Match 40, while effective, would not have gotten him the scoring title. He merely loses to the last place Schittslinger by 192-109.

Good stuff, people. Great season.

Mark, I left you a message on the "Leaguewide Vote" post.

Eric-Invaders replied to that message-it would be interesting if your dad knew old Charley sr.
