Hey, has anybody else noticed this? When the Timberwolves get all their injured guys healthy, they're going to have the whitest NBA roster in memory.
Look at this: They could go Rubio and Ridenour in the backcourt with Love, Kirilenko and Pekovic up front. Off the bench come Budinger, Shved, Stiensma, Amundson and Barea, who is from Puerto Rico, but is clearly of largely European descent.

Eric the '65 Celtics had 7 white guys-I have a book in front of me from my childhood "basketball stars of '65" most of the teams field 7 or 8 white guys it appears from going down each roster-no team I can recall before 1963 which is the first year I have living memory of through observation had 10 though I believe several had 8 or 9(the 12 man limit was strictly enforced you didn't have many extra guys counted on a roster even for a few games beyond that then)-if you go back to '60 and '61 you can find a few teams with 10-the whitest teams of recent vintage that were known for being obvious in their attempt to have half white teams were the 80's Celtics of Ainge/Bird and McHale which consistently had 6 or 7 white guys(about the same as the '65 Celtics) and every Jazz team since leaving New Orleans for Utah until the last 2 or 3 seasons-it seems when Miller died his son loosened up--Ironically there are now more black coaches than white
Invaders count the only black guys on the Wolves as Derrick Willliams Josh Howard and Malcolm Lee the latter 2 started the last 2 games.The Warriors started the season with 2 white guys(Bogut and Lee) and 2 extremely light skinned guys(Curry and Thompson)in the starting 5-not only are there more white guys lately but more half/white guys as well-when Kidd was a rookie he was one of few bi-racial guys in the league now there are more than a dozen-My guess is most fans don't realize Kris Humphries is part black and he takes the trophy for whitest black guy ever from former Oakland born NBA journeyman Greg Foster.Humphries by the way is from Minnesota
A white team is the only product Minnesota will buy. Working with folks of color across the country, it is often referred to as the "deep north". Only Seattle and Portland out do Minneapolis (or used to-I'm not researching this real time)as the whitest cities in the union.
It is the same institutionalized/unconscious racism that moves the Rose Garden to cheer when Meyers Leonard enters the game. Meyers fucking Leonard.

The Memorial Colisseum scalpers referred to me as Tommy two tone since I would pay up to $5 to see every star in the eighties come to town instead of drive a car to titty bars with the rest of the Jim Paxson and Kiki lovers. That said, let's not confuse northern white trash with southern. We flock to gentrify neighborhoods after our black neighbors kept them from being leveled in hard times. You'd have to ask the E-Team what they do in Texas.

Invaders desperate to try something new go w/Aldridge/Mullens/Thaddeus/Westbrook/JJohnson and Lowry-not sure when to proceed with vote since we once again have at least 4 solutions proposed-B's play 7 count 6 has no support I can see-ditto searching rosters for low position scores(I hate that one)-which leaves us w/play 7(my idea)..play 6 with alternate only when DNP occurs counted 50%(German idea)...play 6 and get 10% of team total if DNP occurs(Eric's idea) and this latest ETeam proposal we have yet to hear about
Invaders forgot to mention the 2 chances in same match period while playing 6(Tom's and Sean's idea that I would support)-so there's 4 proposals-5 if B's can get more support for play 7 count 6 plus perhaps a 6th idea once we hear whatever Eric's is cooking up now
