So Invaders see there are 5 in favor of 2nd chance scoring for a DNP provided the stats are produced from a game in the same match period after the original DNP-the question now is do we install this new remedy immediately?I assume that's what those that are voting for this change favor-please indicate your vote on this when submitting your lineup
For the record my Invaders/Swat/Ticket/Caps and the B's voted for the 2nd chance DNP change while Eteam/P4 and the Wingos voted against this change- please reaffirm that's how you vote when posting the lineups

Invada's go w/a depleted lineup of Lamarcus/Thaddeus/Parsons/Westbrook/JJ/and Nikola..I confirm vote and immediate start to new DNP rule
Invaders read that Lamarcus was on crutches Sunday night after his game and is lis listed "DTD"-since he doesn't play until Thursday and being fully cognizant that there's no other game this match period I have to factor that in to risking playing him so in the first example of our new system at work I'll pull Aldridge for Mo Williams who will be 6th man-Nikola moves to 5 from 6th-I've never had so many injuries currently Lowry/Aldridge/Patterson/Pau out Thornton out for "personal" reasons and Lopez on limited minutes-put that all together and that leaves Gortat/Mullens and LouWill as the only reserves-I may swithc Gortat for Mo before 4pm

Ooh, Mark requests a vote on whether to implement the new rule immediately and nobody responds.
Then Dave wastes no time in making what appears to be the first crafty coaching decision of the new era, playing his Melo despite tonight's DNP, no doubt confident the guy will be back in the Garden against the Nets in a couple nights.
Looks like the the X-Man made that decision for all of us.
Eric-Invaders note 3 did vote to begin using it tonight I voted for using it this match and that Tom/Dave/Belvederes all voted for immediate start up( Dave didn't say so on this blog but I know that he wants that from a previous email)-Swat didn't put his lineup in accounting for the 5th vote but he does that a lot so I say yes we will see the new DNP rules in action for Wednesday when the Knicks play the Nets-Dave's test of Melo is in a game against me and I'm off to a reasonably good start-interesting though Melo has missed a few games lately but has been deadly in the ones he's played
Invaders also note we have another test of the DNP rule besides Dave's Melo-Swat by neglecting to change his lineup had a Manu DNP and with a back/to/back looming tomorrow another Manu sighting is doubtful

Mark, you're right. Three guys - you, Tom and Ryan - clearly voted to make the rule change effective immediately.
Three others - 'Caps, Wingo and the E Team - seemed only to confirm their previous vote on the rule itself, as per your request.
True, it seems obvious from his lineup that Dave assumed we're underway with it - unless he just missed the announcement on Anthony - but that's still only four votes.
I know we're all very excited about our shiny new toy, but it would be kind of nice if there were enough respect for all league members to at least let them sign off on stuff.

Eric-I believe if you ask for a supp pick within the next day after the draft it's all right with Invaders who are you dropping and who do you want?
Eric-Invaders would've liked to have seen Sean confirm today w/his lineup as well but as you know he and the Germans rarely post a lineup consecutive matches so this is actually par for the course for both of them-it would seem to be neglect in Sean's case on the Ginobli DNP but I think it's reasonable to assume he'll take the hit even with the 2nd chance in effect

I agree with Eric. When I was saying that I would like to have it implemented immediately, I meant now as opposed to the playoffs.
I don't think you can simultaneously vote and have it ratified assuming approval.
I would vote to have it begin on the next match period if everyone is in agreement.
Dave/Eric-one problem w/move to next match is Invaders would have to recuse myself from any decision since if I don't implement this new rule now I'll likely win my game w/Dave and likewise Tom can't vote for the same reason-in Swat's case Ginobli is playing tonight so if both Caps and Swat say make it for next match that would make any vote moot it seems to me....so if you get Sean to agree then we can make it effective match 15
I just don't see how it could have be implemented for this match period?
I agree with Eric, even though their has been a majority vote. I believe, at the very least, all teams need to acknowledge they understand the new policy.
