Congrats to Ticket for taking out the regular season and defending champs. What a run he's on. Congrats to E for getting it done as well. Certainly an historic playoff this year. Well done. Playing for the white ribbon. Hart Trophy is going to be tough to give up but she's in tip top shape and ready to be caressed by a new, deserving suitor.
Excellent. Pierce (44 last night) and Duncan (36) reportedly have the night off. Add that to my missing No. 2 and No. 4 picks and you get the following...
DHow, Monta, Kemba, Deng, Pau, Greivis
See what I did there? Resurrected Pau Gasol, star of my 2006 title team, like the dead El Cid strapped to his horse and leading the faithful into battle.
Invaders swap BLopez for Teague -yes be wary of resting stars which is why all fantasy seasons should probably end in March.Love the El Cid reference Heston against the Muslims in brilliant cinematography a beautifully filmed history lesson moor or less!!
Easter morning, one night after advancing - in thrilling fashion - to my first title round in seven years, the E Team had a perfect opportunity to consider the upcoming showdown with Ticket.
On a day that reminds us of individuals capable of betraying their own out of insecurity and self-interest, the family and I enjoyed a favorite tradition - holiday breakfast at the Roxy downtown, with Black Sabbath in the background and my 11-year old son promising to one day buy my wife a Portland Fucking Oregon T-shirt.
Ticket himself has often accepted my invitation to join us on that outing.
The truth is, as much as we all appreciate the validation that comes with a title - perhaps too much so for some of us - I'm not feeling any special emotion on meeting Ticket in the final for the first time. This has been a great season and I'm proud of the squad I put together and how I've run it. I have nothing to prove.
Plus, let's face it. If Tom wins, he'll talk shit about it for years to come. And if he loses, he'll talk shit about that for years to come. Just thinking about it makes me weary in advance.
So I'll send whatever I've got out there and let the fantasy gods decide. Thankful for a great winter of fantasy basketball. At peace.

Thanks P4. A priviledge to match up with you in three post seasons. You're still the better outfit historically.

Look at the Invaders, fighting to their last breath. Awesome. Moor or less. Nice one, Mark.
