Match 23 scores are now final after the Knick-Net game today

Just wondering. Who did Dwight Howard pick up five fouls guarding tonight? Lavoy Allen? Steve Hawes? Or was it the talk show great Steve Allen?

And this was his big comeback after getting tossed in the first half against - yes - Toronto last night.

What a piece of shit.

From NY Post today regarding Nets win vs Knicks.
Under interim coach P.J. Carlesimo, the Nets look every bit like a team brimming with confidence. Defensively, they limited the Knicks to just 6 of 21 shooting from the 3-point line and won the rebound battle 52-37.

“We’re hard to beat,” Gerald Wallace said. “When our bigs protect the rim and block shots like they did, it makes it a whole lot easier for us guards.”

The Nets Lopez/Sabonis,Humphries/Grant,Blatche/Sheed size advantage could mean a finals appearance for my neighborhood since last century. Last night Johnson & Deron looked like best backcourt since last year's Thunder. I don't believe what Wallace says about his role as a guard, but he does dribble too much. Very exciting finale with Wallace forcing Melo to air ball.

Nice 90 out of Wingo's Cuz & Horefreak. My top two pix Paul & Smith make D How even look worthwhile.

Kyrie Irving goes for 50 fp's?! This guy looked like a monster against Portland the other night, now this. If he starts putting up those kinds of numbers? Paired with Durant and Harden?

This is starting to feel like a battle between two heavyweights with a bunch of old has-beens standing around watching.

Invaders must wait for the Knicks Thursday game for last 2 finals due to late call eating up Knick Monday stats last match

When last placed Invaders is only three games behind the fourth placed playoff spot with six weeks to go, that's as good a year as I can recall. It's the first time no one will take advantage or be victimized by no shows. As for the champ's show down with the ring leader, that's the trouble with dynasties. it always seems the lime light's on the German P4ormers or the LV's Nitecaps.

E Team says:

So this glorious season represents "...the first time no one will...be victimized by no shows."

Gosh, that's so inspiring. I almost cried. But then I puked first.

Here's the reality, Tom. The Germans, the best team in the league since Match 10 (12-2, 7 MHS in the last 11) would be moving into first place by the end of the current match under the old rules.

They won't because our fine new protocol has rescued the "front-running" Nitecaps from no-shows from the low-character shitbag Zach Randolph, a guy who's averaged 16 missed games a season over his career. Not once, but twice.

Does that just make you feel warm all over, Tom?

Forget about guys like Dirk Nowitzki, who before this season averaged 3.2 missed games a year. Duncan: 4.6. Garnett: 5.3. That shit is for old school fools who think dependability is actually part of a player's "game."

Whatever. The best thing that can be said about our wondrous "innovation" is that it doesn't work most of the time.

It's enough that we're living with the stupid thing; we don't need a Ministry of Lies to tell us how much we should love it.

I will take "doesn't work, most of the time" to doesn't work any of the time, every time!
E making the argument for DNP's deciding the standing...priceless. Stick to your "old school" shit, E. I think AC Green is still available.

I feel like I'm being hunted by the P4's and my death is imminent.

E Team says:

On the contrary, Dave. The old system would have reflected with pinpoint accuracy exactly the kind of provider a guy like Zach Randolph is.

Not player. Provider.

But I wouldn't expect you to concede that point even if you could understand it.

And you might want to see if Tracy McGrady is available. He'd be a good fit in your world.
